Dr Michael Allen
Director
MrMed, MBBS (UWA), FRANZCOG
As an expert in his field, Michael specialises in all areas of obstetrics, fertility and gynaecology. He consults at Sheen Street, Subiaco near St John of God Hospital where he has admitting rights. He also consults at Hollywood Genea Fertility Centre in Wembley.
Michael offers a unique mode of care by taking the time to understand you and the circumstances relating to your clinical presentation. So no stone is left unturned, his thorough approach to women’s health incorporates detailed investigation techniques and an extensive knowledge across fertility, pregnancy and gynaecology.
Empathy and proactivity, in conjunction with broad clinical experience enables Michael to take some weight off your shoulders and allows you to take an “If this, then that” attitude to planning treatment. He believes a sense of humour can go a long way. The addition of a shared laugh with patients and family gives you the space to comfortably and honestly open up about where you’re at. Furthermore, Michael has three young children so he understands the challenges of parenthood. This means he can offer real world advice about the challenges patients experience.
Passionate about global health, Michael spent time completing his senior training working in Suva, Fiji under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Pacific Scholarship.
Michael was awarded his medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 2005 and has subsequently undertaken a Masters of Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 2013. Michael then undertook his advanced training in obstetrics and gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Subiaco. He was the 2011 Fellow at Hollywood Fertility Centre prior to joining as a full time consultant staff member specialising in fertility medicine.
